JOHANNESBURG – On the final day of the BRICS 2018 Summit held in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention center, president Cyril Ramaphosa chaired a session with the BRICS heads of state and other various presidents in attendance.
The session dubbed the ‘BRICS Outreach Dialogue Session and BRICS Plus’ was termed as fruitful as it concluded by Ramaphosa.
Many of the heads of states emphasised the importance of cooperation with BRICS countries as well as encouraged initiatives for better and more trade between the countries.
President Kagame of Rwanda, one of the heads of states present and delivered an address to the BRICS leaders at the summit said, “We are working on a more unified and effective African Union, that will enhance our continent’s governance and cooperation with partners around the world. Indeed, industrialisation makes more sense when we factor in new technologies. For Africa, the challenge is to ensure that the current momentum is not lost to us, but rather maintained and even increased.”
