Manufacturing output falls 10.6% year-on-year in July

South Africa’s manufacturing output contracted 10.6% year on year in July after shrinking by a revised 15.8% in June, the statistics agency said on Thursday.

Factory production however was up 7.6% in July month on month, but declined 2.9% in the three months to the end of the seventh month of the year, Statistics South Africa said.
