Manufacturing output rises 1.6% y/y in November

South Africa’s manufacturing output rose by 1.6% year on year in November, following a revised 2.8% increase in October, the statistics agency said on Thursday.

Economist polled by Reuters had forecast a rise of 2.5% in year-on-year terms in November.

Statistics South Africa also said factory production on a month-on-month basis rose by 0.7% in November.
