Manufacturing output up 0.1% y/y in December

South Africa‘s manufacturing output rose by 0.1% year on year in December, following a revised 1.3% increase in November, the statistics agency said on Tuesday.

Economist polled by Reuters had forecast a rise of 1.7% in year-on-year terms in December.

On a month-on-month basis factory production rose by 0.7% in December, Statistics South Africa.
