Retail sales up 0.7% y/y in June

South African retail sales rose 0.7% year-on-year in June after increasing by 1.9% in May, the statistics office said on Wednesday.

On a month-on-month basis, sales fell 1.2%. Sales were up 1.1% in the three months to the end of June compared with the same period last year, Statistics South Africa said.
