SA’s trade surplus narrows to R11.83 billion in January

South Africa’s trade surplus narrowed to R11.83 billion ($790 million) in January from a revised surplus of R33.06 billion in December, data from the revenue service showed on Friday.

Exports fell 13.6% on a month-on-month basis to R109.76 billion, while imports rose 4.2% to R97.93 billion, the South African Revenue Service said.
