Stage 4 back

Eskom, South Africa’s embattled state-owned power utility, announced a third consecutive week of rolling blackouts on Monday due to generation capacity shortages and after Zambia’s power generation decreased on the weekend, impacting the Southern African Power Pool.

Eskom will now ramp up the outages from 1pm Monday until 5am on Friday, cutting 4 000 megawatts of instead of the originally planned 2 000 megawatts, the utility said in a statement released via Twitter.
