Standard Bank could pay full-year dividend – CFO

Standard Bank could declare a full-year dividend depending on talks with South Africa’s central bank, which asked lenders not to declare dividends to preserve capital amid the coronavirus crisis.

“I think you can see from a capital point of view we are in a sound capital position, so possibly that is not a constraint,” chief financial officer Arno Daehnke told investors when presenting the bank’s half-year results.
