Video: Monetary Policy Committee media briefing

The South African Reserve Bank has decided to cut interest rates by 100 basis points. This takes the repo rate to 4.25% per annum.

The Monetary Policy Committee brought forward their meeting from May 2020 to Tuesday. This is the third interest rate cut for this year.
