Co-CEOs Luyt and Harris to manage JLL Sub-Saharan African business

Emma Luyt and Peter Harris have been appointed co-CEOs of JLL’s Sub-Saharan African (SSA) business, managing the real estate investment and advisory firm’s growth in the region. They will report to JLL MEA CEO Thierry Delvaux as he continues to oversee the region.

Luyt has been with JLL since 2014 after joining the firm to start its wholly-owned subsidiary Tétris Design & Build in the region as managing director. Harris joined JLL in 2013 as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, responsible for operations and finance across the business.

Commented Delvaux: “Both Emma and Peter have been members of the executive committee since its formation and under their direction, the business has flourished and delivered successful performance amongst highly challenging circumstances. I am confident that under their combined management, the SSA business will continue its upward trajectory towards further success.”

Additionally, Simon Ardonceau has seen his role expanded, and is now head of business development for Africa in addition to head of consulting for JLL Africa. Ardonceau has 15 years of experience in the real estate industry and he has been working with JLL since 2010 in Europe (France), the Middle East (United Arab Emirates) and Africa (South Africa) where he set up the consulting division.
