SA Express to resume operations this week

SA Express will resume their operations from the 23rd of August 2018.

DURBAN – SA Express has announced that they will be resuming their operations on 23 August 2018. 

According to a statement from the airline, it has already received Certificates of Airworthiness for most of their 11 aircrafts from SACAA and they are expecting the green light for the rest of the fleet soon. 
Siza Mzimela, the Interim CEO of the airline said that they are delighted that have satisfied the matters the regulator had that lead to our airline being temporarily grounded towards the end of May.
He added, “This has paved the way for us to prudently and incrementally reintroduce our flights as from August 23, 2018”.
According to Tourism Update, effective from August 23rd SA Express will be operating one flight from Johannesburg to Lubumbashi Monday to Friday and on Sundays. As well as  two flights between Johannesburg and Hoedspruit. The one flight will only operate on Saturdays while the other flight run Monday through Friday and on Sundays. 
SA Express will also be running a flight between Johannesburg and Bloemfontein that will run daily.  The airline will also be adding flights for September, October and January. 
From September there will be a weekly flight that will run between Johannesburg and Walvis Bay. Effective from October, the airline will operate five weekly flights from Johannesburg to Gaborone.
In January, two weekly flights will operate between Cape Town and Bloemfontein. There will also be a flight between Cape Town and Walvis Bay.
