LIVE: SABC briefs Parliament on its annual performance plan

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is briefing Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Communications regarding its 2021/22 annual performance plan and budget.

Last week, the SABC  told Parliament that recent retrenchments would not have any impact on its coverage of the Local Government Elections in October.

Both the Group Executive Madoda Mxakwe and Group Executive for News Phatiswa Magopeni assured members of the committee that the organisation has adequate resources to cover the elections.
