Naspers posts 4.2% drop in half-year profits

Naspers said on Monday its profits for the half year ended September 30 fell 4.2%, which it said was due the spin off of subsidiary Prosus and resulting reduction in its holding in international assets.

Its core headline earnings per share (HEPS), the main profit measure in South Africa, dropped to 363 cents, down from 379 cents posted a year earlier.
