Ster-Kinekor has added benefits to its Movie Club Card, rebranding it and converting to a points system. Now referred to as SK Club, with a glow in the dark card, the new rewards programme will start on 8 October 2012.

“We have pulled out all the stops in developing the new card and are confident that it will give movie-goers more reason to enjoy more movies at our cinemas. This programme is easy to join and swiftly rewards loyalty and a love of movies,” says Doug Place, marketing executive for Ster-Kinekor.

Movie lovers will get 200 bonus points for joining, 100 points are earned per movie seen and for every 1000 points earned, the member gets a free movie ticket. The card will also earn double points every Thursday. The ever-popular half price Tuesdays remain. In addition, existing club members will not lose their current movie ‘Moola’ and are encouraged to register for the new programme ensuring that their ‘Moola’ is converted to points.

“The new card further emphasizes the chain’s commitment and ability to bring quality, convenience and innovation to our customers. Going to the movies just got even better and so will the benefits, as we launch further rewards,” concludes Place.
