Eskom unions accept 7% wage offer

Two of the largest trade unions at Eskom, NUM and Numsa, have accepted a 7% salary increase offer, eNCA and Fin24 both reported on Tuesday.

Last week, Eskom started implementing the worst-ever power cuts in South Africa, which it has blamed on striking workers hampering efforts to bring malfunctioning power units back online.  — (c) 2022 Reuters
