SA’s Q3 expenditure on GDP up 67.6% q/q

South Africa’s third quarter expenditure on gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 67.6% in quarter-on-quarter terms after contracting by a revised 53.7% in the second quarter, data from the statistics agency showed on Tuesday.

Household consumption expenditure rose 69.5% in the third quarter, government expenditure was up 0.7% and gross fixed capital formation expanded 26.5%.
